When You Pray God Listens

When I was 21, after years of trying to apply to the university and failing at it, I made a tearful prayer in my heart to God.

At this point, my life felt like a prison. I had friends that we all left high school together, that are now in the university. Some were already rounding up, while I was still home.

After much embarrassment, bouts of long depression and a tremendous amount of low self-esteem, I finally turned to God.

“When your mountain is bigger than you, give it over to One who is bigger than the mountain.”

My Pastor often sermoned.

I remember returning from evening service, taking a lone path home, I was flooded by emotions of being the only one in my age group who was still not in school.

I poured out my heart to God that evening and made a promise to forever serve Him if I got into a school that year.

That same year, I got into Ambrose Ali University to study computer science. And as they say, the rest is history.
