This really do happen. It’s something I’ve experienced. For me it feels like been disconnected from God. Or as I like to put it, God shutting me out.

It’s a period where I can’t feel God, literally. Prayer becomes dry and frictional. Worship feels void of divine presence and full of mental thoughts.

To combat it, I go on long fasts. And adopt the Jewish prayer routine, temporarily.

Until I came across these scriptures; Job 23:8-10 and 2 Chronicles 32:31.

And the Lord revealed two things to me;

1. Sometimes, periods like that can be moments of test.
2. God wants to teach us to follow by faith and not by feeling.
