Penelope, what you saw is the truth. Many years ago, I was like that too, being taken from the ship and brought into camps. I can assure you, like you wrote, immigrants from other countries and race are treated far better than black immigrants. Syrians, Moroccans, Romanians, Egyptians, etc. Though some of these countries are within Africa, but simply because they’re white skinned, they perception automatically changes.
