Of Pangs And Faith
On surviving challenges
I’ve been through ordeals, that have created craters and memories that help educate and persuade my morals in whatever challenges I may face today. Amongst many lessons, one that stands on top of the heap is — it’s all temporary.
Knowing this, I'm glad we do not look like what’ve been through.
For if we did, the image of whom I was as I journeyed through the Sahara desert isn't a sight I or anyone would like to behold. But after a while, the skinny, and paled young boy with swollen lips and sunburnt skin turned into a man who can sit on his bed, laptop on his lap, and write these words of encouragement.
It’s from my experience — the things I’ve seen and been through, that gives me the faith that you too can overcome. You too can pass through that ordeal, regardless of how hopeless it may seem.
What you need is faith.
You do not need to see the whole stairs to take the first step.
Sometimes the challenges can seem so great — so insurmountable, that we feel conquered right off the bat — but if you can hold on to faith — faith in yourself — then you stand a chance.
