I’ve lived in Italy, for the past 8 years… and reading your piece made a lot of things make sense. I totally agree with you.

It’s why I tell people, in spite of the racism in America, I believe Europe is more racist.

If for no other reason, but the fact that, after so many years of coloured folks living here, (that is, all across Europe,) there’s still no good integration into the European society. There are places you enter, like the ones you mentioned, as a person of colour, you stand out so much you feel very uncomfortable.

With all my years living here, I don’t feel at home. Even friendships do not have the same connection and depth as it should be.
