The issue about the drug, though, I feel it’s a complicated one. Though it had terribly negative consequences, but it’s not clear cut as to whether one ought to blame the Sacklers. Although I understand your argument.
Like most things in life, with longevity, they go off course.
Something might be intended for good, but the creator/orwhomsoever, has little to no control how the masses puts it to use.
Like life, everyone can choose how they live it. It would be unfair to say God is responsible for people choice of application of his creation.
The same thing, I feel, applies to the internet and many platforms like Instagram, TikTok, etc.
How we use these things is up to us. And the consequences are our responsibilities to bear.
This is my opinion. And I may be wrong. And may be missing some facts.
