I once submitted a piece to one of the big pubs, and i got a response after 7 days, to do some minor edits that could had just taken the editor about 10 seconds to fix. It said i should make my image inline.

I did and submitted back. I waited another 7 days to get another response to include section breaks before each sections. i spaced my work very well, that i didn't think adding the three dotted section breaks was important.

I did that and resubmitted, After another 7 days again, i got a note, i didn't bother reading it, i dismissed the note and submitted to another pub.

It took nearly a month trying to get an article published.

That is absurd.
