And many things you said, I can relate with.

I once had a conversation with my boss about certain remarks that were racist. He immediately sprang into defense of my colleague. Saying there no racist in my workplace.

I immediately cut him off, and countered his gaslighting with serious questions. I asked him, “are you black?” “Have you been the victim of a racism?” To which he said no.

Then I asked, how do you know then it wasn’t racist?

The thing about these folks is, they know what they’re doing. But will make you feel like you’re overreacting.
I’m glad you found a better space to be yourself and be appreciated.
